quite the opposite. However, a change in values is currently taking place,<br \/>\nOne could speak of a turning point in some areas. The blockchain<br \/>\ncompany, \"Argo Blockchain\" built right next to its latest<br \/>\nMining farm built its own wind power plant and thus created a -<br \/>\nlargely - climate-neutral site. Ayhan Benzer, himself<br \/>\na blockchain and crypto luminary welcomes this cultural change:<br \/>\n\"It's like a dream, you generate value and that with your<br \/>\nown, climate-neutral fingerprint! Money is earned up front and<br \/>\nfurther back you create electricity out of the wind!\"<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Cryptomining but emission-free<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The loud criticism from environmental activists and politicians has raised awareness<br \/>\nin the cryptocurrency industry has developed that the familiar view in<br \/>\nquestion, namely that the coin-mining computers are very<br \/>\nare harmful to the climate. The five largest listed mining companies<br \/>\ncompanies are now building or operating their own<br \/>\nSystems for renewable energies, whether with hydropower, solar power<br \/>\nor wind energy. Their in-house Pubic Relation areas<br \/>\nare now exploiting this and claiming that the crypto miners<br \/>\nnow make a significant contribution to the emission-free<br \/>\ngenerate. Not least the public criticism from Elon Musk of the<br \/>\nspecies, they are irresponsible in their greed for coins, that they<br \/>\nelectricity generated from fossil fuels.<br \/>\nWhy is electricity consumption so high?<br \/>\nIn the past, a simple laptop or home PC was sufficient to process the<br \/>\nand to mine coins. In the meantime, powerful<br \/>\ncomputers day and night, solving the complex mathematical problems of<br \/>\ntransactions and challenges per second. This is how new<br \/>\nCoins - as a reward - are generated. In this context<br \/>\never larger PC farms emerged because the miners, faster and<br \/>\nwanted to generate more coins. The power consumption is now<br \/>\naround 2,000 kilowatt hours of electricity. By comparison, a household with<\/p>\n<p>of a person has an average annual consumption of 1,300<br \/>\nkilowatt hours.<br \/>\nWhere does the electricity come from?<br \/>\nSome crypto-enthusiasts are going down the route of using their PC mines with<br \/>\nelectricity supply the way of fossil fuels. According to a<br \/>\nstudy by the magazine \"Joule\", the crypto industry is responsible for around 65<br \/>\nmegatons of carbon dioxide per year. Because the<br \/>\nCompanies use both natural gas and natural gas-fired power plants to<br \/>\nor coal-fired power plants, and sometimes they deliberately choose<br \/>\nnext to a waste incineration power plant in order to benefit directly. The<br \/>\nBitcoin network is from 42 percent (fossil fuels in 2020)<br \/>\nto 25 percent (redistribution to renewable energy sources in the year<br \/>\n2021) has fallen.
